Powerwash/Factory reset/Device wipe

  1. Turn off your Chromebook (if your Chromebook is turned off then skip to the next step) 

  2. Turn on your Chromebook and wait until you see the login screen.

  3. On the keyboard press and hold Ctrl Alt + Shift r


    1. On the your Chromebook screen select Restart






    1. In the box that appears, select Powerwash then select Continue



    1. Now the Chromebook will automatically turn off and turn on several times while going through the device reset process. 

    2. The Welcome! Screen will pop up, select Let’s go






    1. Choose your network and select Next



    1. Review the Google Chrome OS terms. Then, select Accept and continue.







    1. The Chromebook will automatically go through some processes to get your device ready, it takes from 1 to 10 minutes. (You do not have to do anything at this step)


    1. Select Done

    1. Congratulations! Now you are at the login screen, Enter your school Google account and select Next, then Enter your password
